He can invite you, yes — a sponsor does not have to be a citizen or permanent resident. What changes is the money question: a student’s part-time income rarely satisfies the funds requirement alone, so we usually show your own funds covering the trip, with his letter establishing the reason. The officer cares more about a coherent story than about who pays.

A solvable one. Birth certificates, marriage certificates and family certificates typically need notarised English translation, and some embassies want foreign ministry attestation on top. Less than you would hope. A strong sponsor answers “who pays” — it does not answer “will this person come back”. The officer still reads your side of the file for ties: a job, a business, property, family here. We make sure that half of the story is told just as carefully.

Bring the refusal letter — it names the reason, and the reason decides everything. Thin sponsor documents, unexplained funds or weak ties are all fixable; reapplying with the identical file is not a strategy. We review refusals honestly and tell you whether the next attempt is worth your fee.
